DEAR CHIOMA, YOU ARE A GOOD THING

DEAR CHIOMA, YOU ARE A GOOD THING

Dear Chioma, this will be my last letter to you for now as the Lord is impressing it in my heart to write to your brother CHIMA next year. It's been a wonderful time corresponding with you. Thank you so much for always heeding my instructions, and if the Lord permits, I believe we will still correspond soonest. That's by the way, though.

Today I want to show you who you are. It became necessary for me to do this because of the silent fear in the hearts of some sisters regarding what they’d offer the brother they’d eventually settle down with.

The common belief amongst some tribes, like the Igbos, that a woman can either bring bad luck or good luck when a man marries her, has somewhat worsened this fear. Do not fall for this fear, my dear.

Let me show you what the bible says about you in Prov 18:22;

“Whoso findeth a wife(Chioma) findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord”. (KJV)

See how The Passion Translation puts it;

“When a man finds a wife(Chioma), he has found a Treasure! For she is the gift of God to bring him joy and pleasure…”

The bible calls you a “good thing” and a “treasure”. The last time I checked, treasures are not found easily on earth surfaces, but men dig deep into the belly of the earth to find them and they are very expensive to have. Let this mind be in you, dear Chioma.

You are not bad luck; you are a good thing and a treasure. It doesn't matter if your elder sister married a well-to-do man and shortly after the wedding her husband's wealth grew wings and flew away; it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if this was the same thing that happened to your father after he married your mother; it doesn't matter. Your case is different.

You, Chioma, have been born of God. You have been called out of every tribe and tongue into the marvellous light of God’s family and lineage. The things that stopped your mother can't stop you because you are born of God. the things that stopped your elder sister can't stop you because you are born of God. repeat this statement to yourself prayerfully until it becomes your reality.

One last thing i want to show you from the bible about yourself, let's see Proverbs 12:4;

“A virtuous woman (Chioma) is a crown to her husband...” (KJV)

I love how the passion translation puts it better;

The integrity and strength of a virtuous wife transforms her husband into an honored king. But the wife who disgraces her husband weakens the strength of his identity.” (TPT)

Do you know what this means? It means you carry the “kingmaker” anointing. You have the ability by virtue of your integrity and strength to transform your husband into a King. Kayaya!

My dear Chioma, I don't know who you think you are or who the situations surrounding you have made you believe you are, but then this is who God, your father, says you are. You better believe it. And walk into your reality.

Till we correspond again, grace and peace abound to you.
